Megan Tinnin MD, FAAP, IBCLC

Dr. Tinnin is a native of Warner Robins, Georgia, and has called Columbus home since 2021. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia and her Medical Doctorate from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at the University of South Carolina in Columbia.


Dr. Tinnin is a Board-Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and serves as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Mercer University School of Medicine in Columbus, where she teaches Principles of Medical Practice.


As the spouse of an active-duty service member, Dr. Tinnin has brought her expertise in both teaching and clinical care to several military medical centers, including Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, and Martin Army Community Hospital in Columbus.


She has a special interest in lactation and infant feeding and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).


Outside of her professional work, Dr. Tinnin enjoys spending time with her husband and their two boys, exploring new places and making lasting family memories.
